J. V. Gander Dist. Inc was founded in 1939 by J. V. Gander Sr. He was a commissioned agent for Gulf Oil Corp. J. V. Gander Jr. joined the business in 1976 after graduating from University of West Florida. Joe Gander joined the business in 2001 . Jim Gander joined the business in 2005.
In 2004 J. V. Gander Dist. Inc. expanded into Port St. Joe, Florida and aquired Chevron Jobber Miller Agency Inc.
In 2010 J. V. Gander Dist. Inc. expanded into Panama City, Florida.
Today J. V. Gander Dist. Inc. operates in Franklin, Gulf, Liberty,Calhoun, Gadsden, Wakulla, Leon, Jefferson, Taylor, Madison, Bay, Washington,Jackson, Holmes, Walton, Okaloosa, and Escambia Counties.
